Filippi Focus | Henley Women’s Regatta 2026

Seven victories and 14 podium finishes at the 2026 Henley Women’s Regatta: it was a comprehensive day for Filippi on the Henley reach, with wins spread across the open, academic, club and junior categories and the hull appearing in finals at every level of the draw.

The sculling events were the most fertile ground. In the Championship Lightweight Double Sculls, London Rowing Club won in Filippi with Reading University second, also in Filippi: a clean 1-2 for the hull in one of the senior sculling events of the regatta. Vesta Rowing Club finished second in the Aspirational Lightweight Single Sculls in Filippi, and University College Cork finished second in the Championship Lightweight Single Sculls.

In the open sculling, Glasgow University won the Aspirational Single Sculls in Filippi with Rob Roy Boat Club second, another Filippi 1-2, this time in the senior women’s single. RV Skadi finished second in the Aspirational Double Sculls, also in Filippi.

The Championship opernweight events produced three Filippi wins. St Andrew Boat Club won the Championship Single Sculls in Filippi. Orca won the Championship Coxless Four in Filippi. And in the Championship Quad Sculls, the composite of Nottingham and Reading University took victory in Filippi, a particularly significant result given the prestige attached to the Championship events at a regatta of Henley Women’s standing. In the Aspirational Club Quad Sculls, Marlow Rowing Club finished second in Filippi.

The junior and development events rounded out an impressive day. Marlow Rowing Club won both the Junior Quad Sculls and the Junior Double Sculls in Filippi, two junior sculling titles for the same club on the same day.

Newark Rowing Club finished second in the Junior Single Sculls in Filippi. Queen’s University Belfast won the Development Coxed Four in Filippi, and Vesta Rowing Club finished second in the Academic-Club Coxless Four, also in Filippi.

Across sweep and sculling, junior and open, club and university, the range of programmes winning in Filippi at Henley Women’s was as striking as the number of wins themselves. From Marlow’s junior sculling double to the senior Glasgow-Rob Roy 1-2 in the A single, and from Queen’s Belfast in the D four through to the Nottingham-Reading composite claiming the Championship quad, these results reflect a hull performing at the very front of women’s rowing across the full breadth of the sport. We congratulate every Filippi crew on their results and look forward to following them as the season continues.
