Filippi Focus | Junior Sculling Head 2025

Filippi rounded off the winter racing season at Dorney Lake at the 2025 Junior Sculling Head, collecting four medals, including two golds.

Our first victory came in the women’s junior 16 quads, where Marlow Rowing Club took an impressive win against George Heriot’s and Headington School. Pete Chambers’ programme continues to go from strength to strength, and he will aim to keep these athletes together over the coming years to challenge for major silverware.

We also won gold in the women’s junior 14 octuples, as St George’s College stole away to victory ahead of Surbiton High School and Lady Eleanor Holles.

We also collected bronze in the open junior 18 quads whilst riding with Shiplake College, in a race won by the impressive Windsor Boys School. In the women’s equivalent event, we won silver with Sir William Perkins, a boat powered by Emily Nicholas, who won silver at the U19 World Rowing Championships last summer.

We are very much looking forward to supporting these crews throughout the summer months and are excited for a renewal of rivalries in the weeks to come.
