The Italia S: The main focus remains the Italia S construction

The Italia S is Filippi’s top of the range racing boat using honeycomb as the core material in construction the Italia S is built to achieve FISA minimum weight, in the case of the single 14 kilogrammes.  The Italia S single scull also comes complete with a fitted NK speed coach mount.

The Rigging Options

There are a choice of rigging options for the Italia S,

Please note all Filippi shoulders are made of composite materials.

The Construction Process

What ever the boat type all Filippi’s are vacuum moulded and heat cured.

      The vacuum mould process ensures the core materials bond together correctly. This process takes place while once the shell of the craft has been fitted in the mould.

      Heat curing take place for a three day period to a temperature of 90 degrees. This helps provide a tough, durable shell.
